Debbie Spain is the Founder and Executive Director of Spain 's Residential Living, Inc. She was born in Indianapolis , Indiana and one of five children. Debbie graduated from George Washington High School in 1981 with a business major. She graduated from Indiana business College with a associates degree in business administration and accounting. Debbie is the mother of 2 children and 5 grandchildren. By way of a relationship she was introduced to a drug that eventually took her mind, body, and spirit she had become a homeless female and lost all hope of recovering. God‘s grace and mercy pulled her out of the darkness, and introduced her to a program that brought her into a marvelous light of life. Having that experience, God put in her heart a deep compassion to help others who were in darkness find their way out and live a healthy productive life. God placed people and opportunities in her path to make her dream become a reality .Debbie is now living her dream. She has been married for 7 years, working her area of her degree, serving in the addictions ministry at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, and a mentor to women who have desire to change their lives. God is really using Debbie's experience with darkness to exalt the recovering person to a life of becoming responsible productive members of society .What a blessing!
Isaac Spain is the Co-Founder of Spain's Residential Living, Inc. He was born in Indianapolis Indiana and one of four children. Isaac graduated from Shortridge High School in 1969. He attended Indiana University and served in the United States Army and was honorable discharge in 1972. Isaac currently works at an agency where he assists individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS, mental illnesses, substance abuse and homelessness. He facilitates support groups and provides referrals to various agencies to support the clients needs. Isaac has experienced drug addiction and homelessness and has been clean for ten years. He is a member of the H.O.P.E. team (Helping Other Prosper Economically), a mentor at Father and Family Resource for young adult men, and a member of the addictions ministry at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church . Isaac enjoys helping people and giving back to the community.
